On Friday 11th October, students and staff at Carleton High School participated in a steel signing ceremony of the new 3-storey building.

The ceremony featured a presentation which outlined the week-by-week construction plans for the building. Students and staff then joined a guided tour, during which they had the unique opportunity to sign their name on one of the steel beams – securing their place in Carleton High history.

Sofia, Year 11 student at Carleton High School, shared her experience “As Head Girl at Carleton High, it’s amazing to experience the presentation of the new building that will benefit future students. I feel privileged to leave a lasting mark on the building.”

Jack, Year 7 student, said “It was a fantastic opportunity to get involved in and I enjoyed going out on site and wearing a hard hat. I’ve had a great experience since joining Carleton High School and this was one of the highlights”.

With the project moving forward and another milestone achieved, excitement continues to build around the opening of the new school building.

The new 3-storey building, scheduled for completion in February 2026, will provide an exceptional educational environment for students. Facilities will include cutting-edge classrooms and learning spaces.
