Colour Run Raises Record-Breaking £6,451 for MND Association

Our annual Colour Run took place at Carleton High School last week and it was our most exciting and successful event yet, raising an incredible £6,451 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association – the highest amount our school has ever raised for the charity.

A total of 340 students from Years 8, 9 and 10 took part in the event, bringing enthusiasm, energy and community spirit every step of the way.

The day will filled with music, laughter and plenty of colour as staff members lined the route throwing coloured powder and water over students as they ran. Students embraced the fun, with many determined to become as colourful as possible by the finish line.

Special recognition goes to our top fundraisers, Martha and Erin from Year 8, who together raised more than £400. Martha offered car washing services to family and neighbours to collect donations, while both Martha and Erin also washed cars for staff members to raise even more money.

The Colour Run was a perfect example of our school community coming together to support a cause that is very close to our hearts. The generosity shown by students, staff, families, and our wider community made the day truly memorable.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who participated, donated, and supported the event, as well as to the PE department for organising such a fantastic event.
