There is a Pastoral Team responsible for supporting each year group in terms of academic, pastoral and personal development.
Every student is assigned to a form and each year group is led by a Progress Leader (PL), who is supported by a Student Liaison Officer (SLO). There are other staff who support students with issues including attendance and welfare, and we also work closely with a range of external agencies.

We encourage all our students to challenge bullying. Students should report incidents – inside and outside school – to a member of staff, who will tackle the issue promptly and sensitively. Bullying is defined as repeated, deliberate and hurtful behaviour that can take many different forms. If you have any concerns, please contact your child’s form tutor, PL or SLO.
All students can earn EPRAISE points for good behaviour, excellent effort or attainment, attendance, or reading. The EPRAISE online school rewards system helps to motivate students by recognising the great things they do. Students are awarded EPRAISE stickers which can be recorded online using their unique code, making things a lot quicker and easier than traditional school reward systems. It’s not just about saving time though: the system is packed with features such as leader boards, achievements, milestones, and certificates which make motivating and rewarding students easy.
Wellbeing and welfare
If you have any concerns about attendance, punctuality or your child’s welfare, please contact your child’s form tutor, PL or SLO.
If you feel you have not received a satisfactory response after following the agreed procedures, please do not hesitate to contact us via reception to arrange a meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team or our Education Welfare Officer (EWO).
